ATCs are back!!!

My mum and I decided that we should make an ATC each month in 2013 - it is a few years since we made any.  When we met up just before the new year we made a list of 12 techniques to use, put them in a hat and drew them out next to the months.  January was Flitter Glu....... so here are our ATCs for January 2013......

The one on the left is my mum's (she's 87) and the one on the right is mine.

These ones we made last week while still enjoying the Christmas season.  The one one the left is my mum's.
Roll on February, when I think we are using Pan Pastels.....

Mini book swap

Rather than exchanging Christmas gifts I took part in a mini book swap with my friend.  Unfortunately I do not know what she has made me yet, because the parcel is at my parents and I have flu and can't go visit them to pick it up.  That little treat will be, hopefully, at the weekend!

Anyway - here is the one I made her....  I chose a 1950s sewing theme....

Fabric and lace flowers and a metal bird charm

I made the dressform and cotton reel from shrink plastic

I left a few pages blank for photos or journalling.

These needle cases are genuine old ones that I found in my mum's sewing kit-  scanned and made into mini booklets

I added a tag with handmade printed on

Christmas cards and other stuff

Mum and I made some cards using a technique with Pan Pastels in Craft stamper mag

Mum used the deer stamps she had got from her Grandson and Grand Daughter in Law

I used some of the free stamps mum had got with a recent magazine

Here is South Square's BIG DRAW which was the whole of Thornton on the wall of the gallery and everyone could draw or paint something that shows what Thornton means to them.  And here is TINKERBELLE drawn by a little girl who strokes her every morning on the way to school!

Made a little box from a DVD mum had got free with a magazine

So cute I made two!!
